Nagpur Institute of Technology (NIT) is known as its self-financed engineering college, located in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. It was established in 2008 and is affiliated with Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur.

Courses & fees

B.Tech

The B.Tech engineering department is providing all the necessary academic knowledge as per the RTMNU structure. It has streams like Mathematics, Physica, Chemistry, and Fundamental subjects of Major engineering disciplines such as Basic Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Graphics, Engineering Mechanics, and Fundamental Programming Language.

The up-to-date language Laboratory assists students in improving their linguistic skills. Activities like individual and Group presentations, situational conversions, and software-based assistance to enhance soft skills.

Civil Engineering

The Nagpur Institute of Technology, Nagpur, established the Department of Civil Engineering, from the academic session 2010-11 with an intake capacity of 60 students. Presently, about 185 students are on roll.

The department aims to provide quality education, practical teaching, case studies, field visits, and promotion of research activities amongst the students through industrial tie-ups.

Computer Science & Engineering

Computer science & engineering comprises the basic knowledge of computer programming and networking. The computer science experience will give me ample knowledge about the implementation design and management of the entire information system in both the aspects- hardware as well as software.

It provides academics- project-based learning, societal projects, industry interactions, raising core competencies, and extension of education. MOU, collaborative project, and consultancy.

Electrical engineering

Electrical engineering refers to electrical machinery, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, electrical controls in factories, problems of generation, motors and their control and transforms. This branch of engineering deals with the study and application of electricity, electromagnetism, and electronics.

Information Technology

Information technology is an engineering segment which concentrates on the study of using computers and telecommunications to get together, accumulate, manage, and flow information. Both software and hardware subdivisions are a portion of information technology.

Mechanical Engineering

Admission

NIT offers various undergraduate courses including computer science and engineering, information technology, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and electrical engineering. The minimum requirements for admission in B.Tech courses are 10+2 with physics, mathematics, and any chemistry/ biology/ biotechnology with a minimum of 50% marks.

Admission process

Application for admission to Nagpur Institute of Technology can be submitted online. Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech course must apply for MHT-CET through the official website.

For applying the application form, MHT-CET candidates have to follow the below-mentioned steps:

• Visit the official website of DTE
• Candidates need to fill their personal details, address
• Upload the scanned copies of the required documents.
• For the application fee, candidates should make a payment of INR 800 (INR 600 for SC/ST/PWD candidates) through the online system only.
• Take the printout of the form for the verification and FCs.

Eligibility

1. The candidates should be an Indian National.
2. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the chemistry or biotechnology, biology, technical vocational subject, computer science, information technology, or informatics practices, agriculture, engineering graphics, business studies, electronics or entrepreneurship and obtain at least 45% marks in the above subject.
3. Passed a minimum 3 years Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45% marks ( at least 40% marks, in case of backward class categories, economically weaker sections and persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only)
4. The candidates should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET/ JEE Main (B.E./B.Tech ) and should obtain a non-zero score in MHT-CET/ JEE Main (B.E./B.Tech).
